Doctors treat the symptoms, not the root cause
The symptom is not the cause of the disease. There is another cause, and this deeper cause is routinely ignored by conventional medicine, doctors, drug companies, and even most patients. The industry remains focused on screening for disease and then managing disease.
Examples of symptoms of poor dietary choices diagnosed as diseases:
- High cholesterol
Cause: Consuming foods that are high in saturated fats and hydrogenated oils
Effect: Raised bad cholesterol levels.
- Type 2 diabetes
Cause: Consuming refined carbohydrates and added sugars in large quantities without regular physical exercise.
Effect: The natural, physiological, and metabolic result - diabetes.
Another disease named after its symptoms is cancer. Most doctors and many patients still believe that cancer is physical: a tumor. A tumor is only a side effect of cancer, not its cause. A tumor is simply a physical manifestation of a cancer pattern that is expressed by the body. When a person “has cancer,” what they really have is a sluggish immune system that's failing to limit the growth of the cancerous cells in all human bodies.
The World Health Organization says that 70 percent of all cancers are preventable.
The Basic Principles for Natural Health
Virtually every “disease,” whether it's Alzheimer's, diabetes or cancer, results from one or more of the following three principle/cause correlations:
Principle 1: A deficiency in something the body needs.
- Supplement with high-density whole food-based supplements and superfoods
- Get sensible exposure to natural sunlight on a regular basis, which is crucial for the production of vitamin D (a powerful anti-cancer nutrient, and more)
- Drink water regularly, even before feeling thirsty.
- Get quality sleep.
Principle 2: Excesses the body doesn't need.
- Eliminate all processed/manufactured foods. These foods contain toxic synthetic chemicals, and many aren't listed on the ingredients labels.
- Eliminate all conventional home care and personal care products: Shampoo, deodorant, soap, cleaners, detergents, dryer sheets, air fresheners, hair spray, hair dye, cosmetics, etc. Replace them all with “green home” and “green personal care” products.
- Stop eating out of plastic, styrofoam, Teflon and aluminum foil. Eat out of Pyrex or glass containers. For cooking, use iron or stainless steel.
- Never drink tap water. Invest in a good water filter, including one for the shower.
- Use a high-quality home air filter or purifier.
- Eliminate prescription drugs for good. Don't quit them cold turkey; work with a qualified physician to wean off the drugs as health improves. Remember: All prescription drugs interfere with normal human metabolism. All drugs have side effects.
- Stop buying and using toxic lawn and garden chemicals. Most conventional lawn and garden products are made with cancer-causing (and liver-damaging) chemicals.
- Important: Engage in regular detoxification/cleansing habits. Cleanse the colon and the liver on a regular basis. If either organ doesn't work well optimum health can not be achieved.

Principle 3: A lack of flow in the body.
- Engage in regular physical exercise. Walking, swimming, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, mini-trampoline... anything to get the blood moving.
- Avoid dairy products, as they promote stagnation.
- Shift to a plant-based diet, and eat more live foods (fresh, raw vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds) every day.
- Boost energy efficiency and flow with Tai Chi, Qi-Gong and acupuncture. Chinese medicine is invaluable in boosting energy flow.
- For those with a desk job, get up every 30 minutes and move around.
- Engage in acts of expression: Artistic expression, dance, music, martial arts, sports, games or anything satisfying. Creativity is related to health.
- Engage in social interaction: It moves Qi and boosts health. Pets boost health and immune system function, too.
- Stimulate the brain. Playing Bingo is better than watching TV. Read, socialize, do crossword puzzles or play computer games. Anything that keeps the brain working boosts the flow of the nervous system.
- Reduce chronic stress. Stress stops flow because it creates muscle tension
Simply correct these underlying imbalances, and there will be no need to treat any symptom, disease or health conditions, because those symptoms will disappear and the body will heal itself.
Examples of correcting imbalances:
- When a chronically dehydrated person starts drinking plenty of water, asthma often disappears.
- When a person suffering from heart disease stops consuming hydrogenated oils, fried foods and processed foods, and replaces it with superfoods and high-density nutrition, the heart disease vanishes.
- When a person at high risk for breast cancer eliminates cancer-causing chemicals from the diet and home environment, and adds garlic, broccoli, green tea, trace minerals, vitamin D, fish oils and shifts to a plant-based diet, the “high risk” breast cancer never emerges.
It's much cheaper to avoid paying for drugs, and that's why health foods, superfoods, exercise, and nutritional supplements are a bargain when it comes to promoting health and preventing disease.
